Private hire

We are pleased to offer "Shieldhall" as a special venue for the very special occasion.  "Shieldhall" may be booked for static use or for a private cruise. On board "Shieldhall", we can satisfy the needs of the avid steam enthusiast as well as those who like comfortable surroundings and good food in a unique environment.  Whatever the event, our guests are welcome to visit the bridge and engine room.

1. Private cruise

"Shieldhall" offers cruising with the silky smoothness of steam.  We don't hurry as we wish our passengers to enjoy the relaxing effect and the wide open deck spaces.  For cruising, we now take up to 200 passengers.  For details about a private cruise, please send us an email contact or call 07751 603190.
   

3. Static

If you wish to stay alongside, the saloon can take 65 people for a full sit down meal or up to 150 for a less formal buffet.  See our sample menus below to get an idea of what we have to offer.  To get the best result be sure to discuss your requirements with us to ensure that you have a first class event.
   

5. We have a fully licensed bar with a wide range of beers, wines and spirits, but if there is something special, please ask and we will try to match your requirements.

7. Special Functions

We are always pleased to consider requests for wedding receptions, special celebrations, or use by Clubs and Societies.  Our rates for static use are very reasonable and require a £25 booking fee, followed by an hourly fee of £10 which may sometimes be offset against the catering costs. 9. Conference Facilities
   

10. "Shieldhall" offers a unique facility to companies and institutions that require a completely different venue. Our charges for static corporate use are £20 per hour for the use of the saloon. We will be pleased to discuss your catering requirement and any specific needs. Send us an email asking for details.
